Yahoo! Answers Flash Badge: Change The Default Display To Your Answers

Yahoo! Answers provides Flash-based “badges” that can be placed on remote Web sites, highlighting a user’s contributions to Answers.

Unfortunately, Answers focuses only on questions for these badges; that is, their default display properties are to show the questions you have asked, rather than the answers you have given.

However, this can be modified for at least on of the badges provided, by including an additional flashvar.

Take the default code for the horizontal Flash badge:


Here’s how that badge appears:

It shows my questions, but I want it to show my answers.

If I go back to the embed code, above, I can add &selectedIndex=1 to the flashvars argument, and that will make the badge display my answers, rather than my questions.


And sure enough, my answers are shown by default:
