The 2010 Social Networking Map

This map, from flowtown and brought to my attention by tor.com / Google Reader’s recommended articles, is based on a 2007 cartoon from xkcd (again, click for larger in new):

As Bridget McGovern notes, “It’s interesting to compare and contrast the two versions and consider how the internet has evolved since Randall Munroe first published the original map in May, 2007.” And amusing. And thought-provoking.
